Cities are home to more than 50% of the over 1.3 billion people with disabilities worldwide, who are twice as likely to die in disasters or violent conflicts due to limited mobility, lack of timely support, and inaccessible safety measures.

Join us to transform cities into resilient and inclusive spaces for all. Commit at the GDS to contribute to the Resilient and Inclusive Cities Hub – by funding, implementing, and scaling groundbreaking initiatives. The Hub is a multi-stakeholder commitment at the GDS 2025, initiated by Germany and supported by the International Disability Alliance (IDA) as part of their co-hosting roles for the GDS 2025, which is open to your contribution/commitment, too.

Initially announced by Federal Development Minister Svenja Schulze, Germany, during the European Regional Disability Summit in Berlin, RICH will be officially launched at the Global Disability Summit 2025. https://www.bmz.de/en/news/press-releases/inclusive-city-hub-aims-to-make-the-worlds-cities-accessible-240468
