The Global Disability Children and Young People’s Charter (GDCYPC) has been developed by
children and youth with disabilities from across the globe and aligns with the United Nations
Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

The Charter reflects on discussions and calls to action by youth with disabilities shared at the Global Disability Summit 2022. Prepared ahead of the GDS 2025, it is a Call for Action to re-affirm commitments to the Global Disability Children’s and Young People Charter (GDCYPC) #2030 aligning with CRPD, CRC and the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It asks governments and all stakeholders to support and action the commitments in the Charter and build upon the continuing momentum since GDS 2018 for children and youth with disabilities.

Read the full charter below.

Your Support Matters

With the urgency to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 we re-affirm the Call To Action for GDCYPC #2030 which supports the shared vision of children and youth with disabilities enjoyment of their civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights; eliminating barriers to their meaningful participation, ensuring they have more inclusive future.

Your support would affirm to children and youth with disabilities that their voices matter and their advocacy efforts are being recognised and acted upon.
