Call to Action for Disability-Inclusive Humanitarian Commitments at GDS 2025

Developed by the Disability Reference Group (DRG), this call to action urges governments, multilateral agencies, civil society, and humanitarian actors to make concrete commitments to protect and support persons with disabilities affected by humanitarian crises. With over 48 million persons with disabilities projected to need humanitarian assistance in 2025, urgent action is needed to ensure their rights and inclusion in crisis response. Despite progress, many still face heightened risks, exclusion from aid, and barriers to participation. As humanitarian crises escalate and funding declines, it is critical to break the silos and scale up investments in disability-inclusive responses.

The Global Disability Summit 2025 presents a key opportunity to turn commitments into action. Read the full call to action attached below and learn how you can contribute.
