The GDS Civil Society Forums are an opportunity to amplify the voice and participation of persons with disabilities, through their individual participation and that of representative organizations (OPDs).

The Civil Society Reference Group, in consultation with other relevant partners, hosts a Civil Society Forum, as an addition to the Summit, to leverage the opportunity to amplify the voice and participation of persons with disabilities, through their individual participation and that of representative Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).

The Forums provide an opportunity to highlight current issues relevant to the global disability movement and the realization of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which will not specifically be addressed at the Summit. The Forums also set the stage for the more in-depth dialogue at the Summit on specific thematic areas.

You can access the Civil Society Forum 2022 recording through this link.
